Overlays

An on-stream death counter that keeps a separate count for every game you play, updated from the dashboard or chat.

What it's for

  • Souls-likes, roguelikes, and any game where the death count is part of the bit.
  • Keeping a running leaderboard across multiple games without spreadsheet bookkeeping.
  • Letting moderators bump the counter without you alt-tabbing mid-fight.

How to set it up

  1. Create a hosted source on the settings page and paste the browser source URL into OBS.
  2. Type the current game name — counts are stored separately per game.
  3. Use the +1 / −1 buttons in the dashboard to bump the counter while you stream.

FAQ

How does this connect to OBS?
Create a source, copy the browser source URL, and paste it as a new Browser Source in OBS. The overlay polls every few seconds, so +/− changes here show up on stream within about five seconds.
Are counts shared across sources?
No — each hosted source has its own per-game counts. If you want one counter visible in multiple scenes, copy the same source URL into each scene rather than creating separate sources.
Can chat run !death+ commands?
Not yet. Phase 1 is dashboard-only; chat commands and Twitch category auto-sync are planned for the next release.
