Open BRB settings

Drop in your favorite clips and the BRB player rotates through them while you're away — no dead air, no static screen.

What it's for

  • Bathroom breaks, food runs, gear resets — anything that pulls you off camera.
  • Rewatching chat-favorite clips without queueing them manually.
  • Keeping the room engaged while you're gone instead of muting and waiting.

How to set it up

  1. Make sure your Twitch account is connected on the Connections page (channel clips need OAuth).
  2. Generate a hosted source and add the URL as an OBS Browser Source on your BRB scene at 1920×1080.
  3. Add at least one source — channel clips, pasted URLs, or both.
  4. In chat, type your start command (default !brb) to start playback. The stop command (default !back) ends it.
  5. Audio normalization only applies to direct video sources (Twitch clips and .mp4) — embeds use their own audio.

FAQ

What URL types work?
Twitch clip URLs and direct .mp4 links play with full controls (audio normalization, transition effects). YouTube and Streamable links play via embed, with the embed's own UI.
Why does !brb do nothing for me?
First, check that the start command name in this tool's settings matches what you're typing. If it's set to !brb but you typed !break, nothing happens. Second, verify the Twitch channel field points at your channel — leave it blank to default to your own login.
Can mods trigger it?
Yes — start / stop commands accept the streamer plus anyone you allow in the permissions section.
