Clip play
Open Clip play settingsGive chat a controlled way to send YouTube videos, Twitch clips, and Streamable links to your stream — moderated, queue-able, no random shock content.
What it's for
- “React to this clip” moments without manually opening tabs.
- Letting regulars and mods spotlight community memes during downtime.
- Reaction-content streams where chat genuinely drives the playlist.
How to set it up
- Create a hosted source. The
widtoken binds the overlay to your saved settings. - Drop the browser source URL into OBS on the scene where you want clips to appear.
- Tune command names + max duration on the settings page. Save when you're done — the overlay picks up changes automatically.
- Test it. Drop a clip URL in chat after the play command (e.g.
!play https://clips.twitch.tv/...). The overlay reads it from Twitch IRC and plays it in the same browser source.
FAQ
- What URL types are accepted?
- Twitch clip URLs, YouTube videos, and Streamable links by default. Each source can be toggled per-tool to restrict what chat can submit.
- Who can submit clips?
- Permissions live in the command-permissions section. Default is mods + broadcaster; you can open it to regulars or anyone.
- Can I auto-skip if I don't like a clip?
- Yes — there's a stop / skip command (set on the settings page) that ends the current clip and moves on.
